What it is, and why it behaves this way
Polyamides are a family of plastics. TR90 is a familiar transparent-polyamide grade name in eyewear, not a synonym for every nylon. Resin grade, processing and frame geometry all affect performance.
Weight in context
Low resin density helps, but lenses and metal components still add weight.
Flexibility & adjustment
Resilience does not mean unlimited twisting or guaranteed recovery after repeated bending.
What to check when trying on
Check width and grip. A flexible temple can still press against your head.
Care & limitations
Follow the finished-frame instructions. Paint and joints may react differently from the raw resin to cleaners or heat.
Put it into practice
Example: if a light frame slips, check bridge contact and temple fit rather than assuming that extra flexibility will solve it.
A common assumption to check
A TR90 label is neither proof of resin provenance nor a sports-protection certification.
