What changes in your vision
Myopia makes distant objects harder to see clearly. An eye examination can establish your prescription and check eye health; squinting at a distant sign cannot tell you the right lens power.
Correction and follow-up
Glasses or contact lenses can correct the blur. They do not remove the eye-health risks associated with high myopia. Ask how often you should return and what changes in your vision need prompt attention.
