A change in focusing
With age, the lens inside the eye becomes less flexible. Near tasks can become difficult, even for people who already have myopia. Holding a menu farther away is a reason to discuss near vision at an examination.
Choose around your tasks
Reading glasses, multifocal glasses and contact lens options serve different routines. Bring your reading and screen distances to the appointment. A ready-made reader is not a substitute for assessing both eyes.
